I posted some progress on this blog before so I figured I would share the finished product. It took 3 years and is extremely large. So I recommend using the flash viewer.
I haven't uploaded in a while because I have been homeless. However now I have a place again and a steady job working for the state so back to recording. Hopefully Ill have more and more material to put here. For now some slow surf rock. Hopefully I can get someone to work on it with me so I can finish it and get some new ideas in it.
So I am going to work my way backwards with newest first. The newest one is a piano track. Jeff dropped by with his piano and left it at my house so I have been playing with it since it is much more powerful than my old one it has been very entertaining. I will probably be playing with that more than my guitar till it goes away.
The second track is from a Jam session before Robbie went up to Chico and Ricky who is extremely talented. This is probably my favorite song I have ever contributed too. I really enjoyed the whole session but this one for me really stuck out. Hope you enjoy it.
I did a few others but this one was particularly interesting to me.
What I have noticed about my work is that I tend to crowd everything together and the sound either gets overwhelming or muddy. There are definitely times where it works out but I think I should practice the other end of spectrum and attempt a minimalist style. That way I know I can do both and not limit myself to continue playing one style. In other words its time to break the cycle.
I was able to collaborate with Robbie and we recorded drums and after my finger healed I finished it up the best I could (April). I also included another track I had worked on recently, which is minimal.
I wanted to share another collaboration with my friend Harper - he posted a version earlier but figured Id post a later version - he did a great job on the lead guitar.
Past two weeks I have been practicing nearly nonstop and the times I did stop I recorded two tracks. I mixed them quite low so headphones are recommended for detail - started a collaboration with a bass/guitar playing friend.

I have been working on a very large collage for quite a while now, its actually nearing completetion - but Id figure Id share it since I havent been recording much lately (been working on a few tracks but nothing near completion yet)
